Participant Emails & Notifications
Participants receive emails and (where enabled) Mobile App push notifications that guide them through your Program. These messages help them access the Program, complete registration, and stay up to date.
Emails reach participants the same way whether they use a web browser or the Eventene Mobile App. Mobile App users may also receive in-app push notifications, and email links open in the app when it is installed.

Types of emails participants receive
Participants may receive several types of emails during your Program:
- Invitation emails — provide access to the Program
- Reminder emails — prompt participants to complete registration
- Update emails — share schedule changes or new information
- Confirmation emails — confirm registration and responses
- Waitlist promotion emails — sent automatically when a participant is moved off the waitlist into an open spot (subject: "A spot is now available"); see Automatic Confirmation Emails
- Assignment emails — show placements such as tables, rooms, or roles
- Payment Reminder emails — for participants with unfinished checkouts

Push notifications (Mobile App)
Where the Messaging Center is enabled and the participant has the Mobile App installed and notifications turned on, they may also receive push notifications for:
- New posts in the Event Feed
- New posts in Activity Rooms they belong to
- New Direct Messages
- Activity reminders (where configured)

How participants use emails
Emails typically include a button or link that:
- Takes participants directly to their personalized Program view
- Allows them to complete registration or review their Activities
This makes it easy for participants to take action without logging in manually.
When emails are sent
Emails can be sent:
- Manually by organizers
- Automatically based on system events (such as registration confirmations or payment receipts)
Timing depends on how the Program is configured.
What participants can do from emails
- Start or complete registration
- Update responses
- View Activity details
- Check assignments or Program updates
Staying informed
Participants can return to their Program at any time using links from emails or saved links. The Mobile App keeps them signed in for ongoing access.
Tips for organizers
- Send clear, concise messages with a single call to action
- Send reminders before deadlines
- Test emails before sending to large groups
- For real-time event updates, consider the Event Feed (in the Messaging Center) alongside email
