Pay for an Event

Some events include items you need to pay for during registration — entry tickets, meals, workshop fees, or merchandise. Eventene uses Stripe to handle payments. The flow is the same whether you are in a web browser or the mobile app.

What you will see

When your registration includes items to pay for, an extra Checkout step appears in the registration flow.

  1. Review your cart — required items are pre-selected; you can add or remove optional ones up to the limit per person
  2. Click Pay Now — Stripe opens to collect your card
  3. Enter your card — or use a saved card via Stripe Link if you have one
  4. Confirm — when payment goes through, your registration is complete

You will see a confirmation when the charge succeeds.

Saved cards

If you have used Stripe before (with services like Uber, Airbnb, or other Stripe-connected sites), you may be able to enter your phone number to retrieve a saved card. This is a Stripe feature called Link.

Service fees

Depending on the organizer's setting, you may see a separate Service Fee line at checkout, or the fee may be absorbed by the organizer. Either way, the total at checkout is exactly what you pay.

If your payment does not go through

  • A declined card stops the registration; try a different card, or contact your bank if the issue continues
  • If a payment timer is on and runs out, your selections are reset and you will need to start the registration over
  • If you are interrupted, return through your link or the app and try again

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the organizer through Stripe. Contact the organizer if you need a refund.
