Bulk Actions for Activities

Overview

Bulk actions on activities let you make the same change to many activities at once — for example, applying a tag across a set of workshops, or updating a shared field. This is useful when your program has a long activity list and one-by-one editing would be slow.

Activity bulk actions live on the Activities tab inside a program.

How to Use It

Select activities

  1. Open your program
  2. Go to the Activities tab
  3. Use filters to narrow the list (for example, by tag or type)
  4. Select the checkboxes next to the activities you want to update

Once activities are selected, the available bulk actions appear above the list.

Apply or remove tags in bulk

Tags are one of the most common bulk operations on activities:

  1. Filter the list to the activities you want to tag
  2. Select the activities
  3. Choose the Tags bulk action
  4. Add or remove tags
  5. Confirm your changes

Tag changes apply to every selected activity. See Assign Tags to Activities.

Use filters to focus the change

Filters and bulk actions work best together. For example:

  • Filter by tag (e.g. "Workshop") and apply a new tag (e.g. "Required")
  • Filter by type (e.g. Schedule) and update a shared setting
  • Filter by date and update times across a day

The filter narrows the list; the bulk action applies the change.

Review before confirming

Before confirming any bulk action:

  • Check the count of selected activities
  • Confirm the filter is what you expected
  • Be cautious with destructive actions such as delete

If you are not sure, take a smaller test action first on a few activities, then expand.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Filter before you select — never bulk-edit an unfiltered list unless that is exactly what you want
  • Use consistent activity tags so bulk filters work the same way each time
  • For wholesale schedule changes (such as shifting all activities by a day), look at copying the program with new dates instead — see Copy a Program
  • After a large bulk update, spot-check a few activities to confirm the change applied as expected
