What's New

The latest improvements to Eventene, newest first. For the full version-by-version history, see Version 4 Evolution.

4.11 — Sign up straight from the Event Website

September 2026. Attendees can now register directly on an event's Event Website. The page's main button reads Register, registration opens over the page, and attendees never leave your event's site — and once a registration exists, that same button becomes View Registration, which is how people get back to it.

No account needed to start. A first-time attendee at a public event begins with nothing but an email address. There is no sign-up step, no password, and no confirmation email before they can get going.

Verification for people Eventene already knows. If the address entered is already on the event — invited, imported, or registered earlier — Eventene emails a 6-digit code and asks for it before showing anything. Knowing someone's email address is no longer enough to open their registration. See Attendee Access and Email Verification.

Families and groups. One address can cover several people. Once verified, the attendee sees a Group Registration list of everyone associated with that address, each showing whether their registration is Not started, In progress, or Complete, and works through them one at a time.

Invite-only stays invite-only. At an Invite Only event, an address that isn't on the guest list is told no invitation could be found — and no one is added to your roster. See Configure Registration for Invite-Only Events.

Pre-registration questions. A new Registration tab in Edit Event lets you pick up to three participant fields that must be answered before registration begins. The answers can place attendees in different Event Groups — and so decide which activities and questions they see. See Pre-Registration Questions and Registration Routing.

Checkout comes back where it started. Paying takes over the browser tab, then returns the attendee to the Event Website with their registration reopened at the point they left it.

See which account you're using. For visitors who are logged in, the Event Website header now shows their profile picture — or their initials — next to their name. Opening it shows the account's name and email address, a link to their events, and Log Out. Previously the corner offered only a Log Out link, with no way to tell which account was active. See Your Account on an Event Website.

Standalone registration forms are unchanged. Direct registration links in invitation emails work exactly as before, and remain the right choice for private events or any event you'd rather not front with a public page. See Choose How Attendees Register and Add Registration to Your Event Website.

4.10.1 — Event Website Improvements

August 2026. We've refreshed Event Websites with a cleaner, more modern design and improved responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Event images, event details, registration actions, Pages, Location information, Organizer details, sharing, and image viewing have all been refined to make Event Websites easier to navigate and more visually consistent. See What is an Event Website.

We've also improved dark mode support for Page content and made several enhancements to how Event Websites adapt when some sections, such as Location or additional Pages, aren't being used.

4.10.0 — Activity Import/Export and a modernized Activity editor

August 2026. A major release for building and maintaining activities. Activity Import creates and updates an event's activities in bulk from a spreadsheet or the clipboard, through a four-step wizard — Add Data, Review (choose which columns to import), Validate (errors block, warnings don't), and Complete. Imports are all-or-nothing, and partial updates are safe: include only the columns you want to change, and blank cells preserve existing values. Activity Export downloads your activities as a CSV, and because each row carries its Activity ID, you can export, edit in a spreadsheet, and import back to update in place. See Import Activities and Export Activities.

Alongside import/export, the Activity editor was modernized into four focused tabs — Details, Experience, Registration, and Questions — and every activity now shows a read-only Activity ID on the Details tab (the same identifier import and export use to match records). The capacity control was simplified too: Attendance Limit is now Limit, with the options None, Max, and Places (previously Max Attendees / Select Places). See Manage Activities and Configure Attendance.

4.9.4 — Self-service email opt-in / opt-out

July 2026. Self-service control over which organizations may email you, plus a way for organizers to help people who ask to be resubscribed. Both build on Eventene's existing per-organization unsubscribe model — there is no new global email switch.

Manage your email preferences from your Account. The Account → Profile tab now has a Communication Preferences section listing the organizations associated with your account, each with an Email Delivery switch. Turning an organization off stops its invitations, reminders, announcements, receipts, and other event-related emails; turning it back on restores them. Preferences are per organization — one has no effect on another — and anyone who previously used an email's unsubscribe link can now turn those emails back on themselves. This applies to organizers and participants alike. See Create an Organizer Account and, for participants, Stay Connected.

Organizer-assisted resubscribe from Email Tracking. When someone contacts you and explicitly asks to receive your emails again, Owner, Admin, and Organizer roles can restore delivery from Track → Overall Event → Overview: open the Unsubscribed list in the Email Tracking card, choose Restore email delivery from a person's menu, and confirm by ticking the acknowledgement checkbox and clicking Restore Delivery. It only affects your organization, and the action is hidden from Associate users. See Monitor and Communicate.

4.9.3 — Improvements to the activity selector in Track

July 2026. Track's left selector now has a permanent Overall Event entry above a searchable, sortable Activities list — replacing the old Overall Event / Activities toggle and the View: / Source: selectors. Overall Event is now the home for event-level operations (Overall Attendance, Required Questions, Payment Status, Activity Payments, Emails Sent, and Email Tracking), while an Activity page focuses on just that session (Attendance, Required Questions, and — when they apply — Payment Status and Assignments). The mental model: Summary is the dashboard, Track → Overall Event is event-level operations, and Track → an Activity is activity-level operations.

Renamed for consistency. Alongside the new selector, several long-standing labels were renamed: Required Questions Completion → Required Questions, Emails → Emails Sent, Sent Status → Email Tracking, and Activity Payment Status → Activity Payments. The per-person Track view, formerly Individual, is now Participants. See What is Track?.

4.9.2 — Summary page redesign

July 2026. Summary has been rebuilt around three columns, each with one job. The Event Health column (left) rolls up Attendance, Required Questions, and Payment for the whole Event using Track's own status-bar cards, so the counts match Track's exactly and every row drills into the people behind it. The center column pairs the four primary metrics — Participants, Attending, Activities, and Pages — with your Event's first Page, shown exactly as attendees see it and editable inline with a click of the pencil. The right column holds the Promote Event card — the Event Website URL with a copy button, a View Website button, a native Share… action, and a QR code you can copy, download, or print — plus quick links to Activity Groups and Sections. Registration status and the Starts In / Ends In countdown live in the event header, alongside the location, attendance style, and visibility. See What is the Summary Dashboard?.

4.9.1 — New Pages menu

July 2026. Your Event Website's information pages now have their own top-level Pages menu, sitting right next to Summary. The Pages workspace puts the essentials on one screen: a permanent Page selector on the left and the rich-text editor in the center, with a Help & Resources panel on the right. A Manage Pages side panel lets you create, rename, reorder (by drag-and-drop), hide/show, and delete pages. Throughout the app, these information pages are now called Pages rather than Tabs. The event menu was reordered to Summary · Pages · Activities · Send · Track · Assign · Payments · Points, and Edit Event gained a plain-text, organizer-facing Description field distinct from the attendee-facing Pages. See Managing Event Pages.

4.8.6 — Track reporting & performance

April–June 2026. The Track Overview was redesigned into a consistent dashboard of summary cards — each with the same chart-and-legend layout you can click to see the people behind any number. Cards that have nothing to show yet (no emails sent, no payments recorded, no one assigned) display a neutral placeholder instead of a misleading 0% or 100%. And the Track Participants table (formerly Track Individual) moved to true server-side paging, so very large participant lists load a page at a time — while sorting, searching, "select all," and exports still work across every matching participant, not just the page on screen. See What is Track?.

4.8.5 — Copy / Print / Export for question summaries

April–June 2026. Each question on the Track Overview shows a summary graph of how people answered, with a drill-down to everyone who gave a particular answer and a 1st Choice Results view for rank-choice questions. Those per-question drill-downs — like every other Overview drill-down — now carry the same Copy, Print, and Export to CSV actions as the main tables, so you can save or print the exact list behind any answer. Drill-down rows also show each person's tags. See Survey question summaries and Export Data.

4.8.4 — Clearer Survey Completion charts

April–June 2026. The required-questions measure was corrected to a single, trustworthy Complete vs. Incomplete read — counting only the people a question is actually asked of (waitlisted and undecided participants are left out), so the percentage reflects who really owes you answers. See Required Questions.

4.8.3 — Resend confirmations

April–June 2026. Confirmation delivery is more reliable, and a new Resend Confirmation action lets you send a fresh confirmation that reflects an attendee's current registration — per person from the side-panel "..." menu, or in bulk from the Track action bar — even when automatic confirmations are turned off. The resend previews who is eligible vs. skipped and explains each skip. See Resending Confirmation Emails.

4.8.2 — Manual payment management

April–June 2026. Clearer, more accurate Paid / Pending / Unpaid reporting, a dedicated view of outstanding offline obligations, and a full manual-payment lifecycle — record an obligation, then Mark as Paid (individually, in bulk, or from the Pending list) with a receipt and audit note. Payments for optional add-on products now count toward payment status too. See Offline & Manual Payments.

4.8.1 — Tags v2

April–June 2026. Tags became a full segmentation system you can use in Subgroup rules, Track filters, and column sets — completing a five-and-a-half-year dormant-infrastructure thread, with redesigned system email templates and a modernized Calendar view alongside it. See What are Tags?.
