Resending Confirmation Emails
You can resend an attendee's confirmation email at any time — either to one attendee or to a group at once. Manual resend is useful when an attendee reports they never received their confirmation, when you want to verify their email actually went out, or when you've just re-enabled automatic confirmations and want to catch attendees who registered while they were off.
Manual resends use Eventene's standard confirmation email and reflect each attendee's current registration state — not necessarily the exact message they would have received originally.
For the automatic side, see Automatic Confirmation Emails.
Resending for a single attendee
From any place in Track where the side panel shows a list of people, each attendee row has an actions menu (the "..." icon).
TODO (screenshot): Track side-panel row showing the "..." menu open, with "Resend Confirmation" highlighted. To be captured once the UI ships.
To resend for one attendee:
- Open the attendee's row in Track.
- Click the "..." actions menu.
- Choose Resend Confirmation.
- Eventene shows a confirmation dialog: "This will send the attendee's current registration confirmation email."
- Click Resend Confirmation to send, or Cancel to back out.
If the attendee isn't eligible for a resend (for example, their registration isn't complete yet), Eventene will explain why instead of offering to send.
Resending for multiple attendees
From the Track / Individual table view you can select multiple attendees and resend confirmations to all of them at once.
TODO (screenshot): Track Individual table with several attendees selected and the action bar showing "Resend Confirmations" between "Assign" and "Send". To be captured once the UI ships.
To resend in bulk:
- Open Track for your Program.
- Select the attendees you want to resend to (the action bar appears once at least one row is selected).
- Click Resend Confirmations.
- Eventene shows a preview dialog:
- Selected: how many attendees you chose.
- Eligible: how many of them will receive a confirmation.
- Skipped: how many won't, with reasons grouped (for example, "1 missing email, 2 payment pending").
- Click Resend Confirmations to send to the eligible attendees, or Cancel to back out.
- Eventene then shows a result dialog with the final count of confirmations queued and a breakdown of any skipped attendees.
Up to 200 attendees can be resent in a single action. If you select more than that, split the selection into smaller batches.
How the workflow protects you
The two-step flow is deliberate:
- Preview first. Eventene tells you exactly who is eligible and who will be skipped before sending anything. You won't accidentally send to people you didn't intend to reach, and you won't accidentally send to attendees who shouldn't receive a confirmation yet.
- Confirm before sending. No emails go out until you click the second button.
- Skipped attendees are explained. Each skipped attendee comes with a plain-language reason, so you know whether the situation is something you can fix (for example, adding a missing email address and trying again) or something to leave alone (for example, payment is still pending and the attendee will get an automatic confirmation when they finish paying).
When manual resend will send
A manual resend will go out to an attendee if their registration is considered complete. This includes:
- Attendees who completed registration on a free Program (no required products).
- Attendees who paid for any required products.
- Attendees who completed registration under a pay-later option (where applicable).
When manual resend will skip an attendee
Manual resend will skip an attendee with a clear reason — it will not send a confirmation that would misrepresent their registration. Common skip reasons:
- Missing email — the attendee has no email address on file.
- Registration still processing — the attendee was just added; try again in a moment.
- Registration not yet confirmed — the attendee's registration isn't complete (for example, they're awaiting payment, they're on a waitlist, or they declined).
What manual resend bypasses
Manual resend always works, regardless of:
- Whether automatic confirmations are turned off for the event. The toggle controls Eventene's automatic sends; it doesn't block organizer-initiated manual resends.
- Whether the attendee was sent a confirmation previously. You can resend as many times as needed.
This is by design: manual resend is your direct tool for recovery and verification.
What manual resend does not do
- It doesn't change the attendee's registration status, payment status, or attendance.
- It doesn't re-render the original confirmation message. It reflects the attendee's current state at the time you resend.
- It doesn't notify attendees with incomplete registrations that they have work to do — that's what reminders and Payment Reminder messages are for.
