The Event Feed
The Event Feed is the public, real-time channel for everyone in your Event. It is the primary broadcast surface for announcements, schedule changes, photos, and open discussion during the Event's lifecycle.
The Event Feed is part of the Messaging Center in the Eventene Mobile App. It is not available in Webforms.
Who can post
- Organizers can post messages, attach photos and videos, and pin messages to the top of the Feed
- Participants can post and reply, attach photos and videos
- Everyone in the Event can read everything posted to the Feed
Common uses
- Welcome messages at the start of an Event
- Real-time schedule changes ("Lunch is at 12:30, not 12:00")
- Photos and videos — speakers, group shots, on-location moments
- Open Q&A and discussion
- End-of-day wrap-ups, thank-yous, links to follow-up resources
If a conversation belongs to one specific Activity rather than the whole Event, use an Activity Room instead.
Pinning a message
Pinned messages stay at the top of the Feed where everyone sees them, regardless of how much has been posted since.
- Only organizers can pin messages on the Event Feed
- To pin: long-press the message and select Pin
- To unpin: long-press the pinned message and select Unpin
Pin sparingly. Frequently changing what's pinned reduces participants' attention to important content.
Threaded replies
Replies form threads underneath the original post, so a long conversation does not push other Feed content off the screen. Tap a message to view and add replies in its thread.
Attachments
You can attach photos and videos to Feed posts. Participants can long-press an image to download it to their device.
Notifications
When someone posts to the Feed, participants who have the Mobile App with push notifications enabled may receive a notification. See Push Notifications for the conditions that need to be met.
